This on-line map was developed by Rishi Arora, Russell de Souza, and Natalie Williams on behalf of the Alliance for Healthy Hearts and Minds.


The Alliance for Healthy Hearts and Minds was funded by the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC), Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSF-Canada), Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) through the Canadian Urban Environmental Health Research Consortium (CANUE). The project has been approved by Hamilton Integrated Research Ethics Board: Project# 13–255. Some participating research centers also obtained secondary approval for data collection.


The map was created using LeafletJS and Django. The map tiles are open data provided by OpenStreetMaps and hosted by CARTO
